My mom checks my blog everyday just to see if I wrote something. Isn't that sweet? I can't tell you how blessed I am that my parents are my number one fan! To know that I have their support in my new endeavor means so much to me. For those who haven't heard, I designed a book cover for a friend. It was done on a whim. I knew what the cover should look like, so I made it. And now, it's going to be on a published book! That's not all though; she wants me to design the sequel cover and possible several other of her book covers as well. Her publisher has been a pleasure to work with and has graciously accepted to read my manuscript when it's finished. I didn't know there was an emotion beyond joy. What is it called? Elation. Ah yes, I remember now. I felt it when I held my children for the first time. There is something magical about holding your newborn for the first time, isn't there? But back to my job, I couldn't think of something I was more suited for to be honest. It's a wonder I didn't think of it before. God works in mysterious ways. I keep saying that over and over again. He does though. At least in my life. I don't know about yours.
So this book of mine is about... should I really tell or keep it to myself? There's an argument for both. Anyhow, here's the rundown: Liz has finally gotten on with her life after Drew Martin broke up with her during one of his concerts. Although the lyrics of the song stated that she was and that he always hoped she'd remain his best friend, he lost contact with her as his career as a romantic pianist took off. Now, several years later, he asks her to fill in as his lead vocalist for his annual Christmas tour. Tension runs high as they travel though several states in a large rolling box with the square footage of his closet and ten other people. Will they rekindle their romance or will their past forever keep then apart?
What do you think? Intriguing enough? Be sure to check out my book cover mock-up over on my photography website. Please leave comments on your favorite cover and why. Be honest. If you hate something, let me know too that way I get a feel for what's working and what's not.

awesome! :)
ps... on a side note, it's hard to find your comments because they are under your title and not at the end of the post... and if you want people to go to your photography web site, you should add the link! (at least on the side bar, if not in your post!) Thought it might get you a little more traffic! :)
I'm so proud of you I could burst! Keep following your dreams...God gave you those dreams for a purpose. Mom.
